    Britney Jean Spears was born on December 2 of 1981 and is the daughter of Jamie and Lynn Spears, the younger sister to Bryan Spears and is the older sister to Jamie Lynn Spears, making her the middle child. She is one of the most popular singers and songwriters of the late 20th and early 21st century and is usually referred to as the Princess of Pop. Most of the time, she is credited as the revival of teen pop. She has sold over 100 million records worldwide, including 70 million in the US alone. When she was around 8 years old, she auditioned for the Mickey Mouse Club but was rejected since she was too young.

    She then moved to New York with her mother and younger sister after being introduced to Nancy Carson, who is a talent agent in New York. She got her first lead role in the off-broadway play Ruthless and was then featured in many commercials. Soonly after, she auditioned for the Mickey Mouse Club once again and then became a co-star alongside soon popular celebrities, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguliera, Keri Russel and Ryan Gosling. After the show ended in 1994, she and her family moved back to Louisiana

    ...Baby One More Time was then later officially released January 12, 1999. On the first day of its release, it already sold 500K copies and was ranked #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was nominated for the Grammys for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. Later on, the third single of the album called (You Drive Me) Crazy received even more success than Baby One More Time.

    As of now, the album has sold 25 million copies worldwide, not only making it the best album for a debut artist but one of the best debut albums of all time.
